Be your own stylist !

Hello there my internet fam!
This is a very important post as I have seen some of you dm me about it and it has so much to do with our confidence and self-esteem. Unfortunately we are living in a society that keeps reminding us about our appearance and it encourage us to compare ourselves with each other. Although there are some sources that try to teach us about our individuality and how to embrace our own beauty but their voices are not loud enough to make the same impact and to be real our insecurities always loses because I think we don’t deal with it in the right way!

I was watching this interview of Amy schumer ( comedian) and she is talking about her fame and as she got famous she had to keep up with the trend and get a stylist to fit in.. its funny in this interview she is trying to convince how her stylist helped her to boost her confidence as she didtn feel confident enough in the way she looked. I love her for her talent and sense of humour! She is brilliant in her jokes and I never even thought about how she dresses until she mentioned it , but it made me think how much appearance and clothing influences us , even if we have other things to be proud of and stand out!
Good for Amy who has a stylist now and basically gets help in what she should wear everytime she goes out of the house!! (Although she mentions she still doesn’t care much). But what about rest of us! I have received so many msgs from girls that telling me they are so “bad” in choosing their outfits and ofcourse its not an ordinary thing to have a stylist on a daily basis!

Now I am here only to give a suggestion that might not work for everyone but as a “blogger” who experiences different styles and outfits and as a psychology major I think I have found a link between these two that can help myself (and maybe you) to be confident in whatever you choose to Wear!!
Because thats what a personal stylist would do! They would get to know u and based on YOUR body and personality they would choose your outfit. How would someone know you better than yourself!

First of all lets get one thing straight! No ones opinion matters as long as u are feeling 💯 comfortabl and confident in what you’re wearing!
Being stylish is very subjective! Not everyone has the same taste! But what makes others to like your outfit is actually your attitude about your outfit! If you wear the most fashionable, expensive outfit just so you seem to be following the trend but you dont like your outfit personally.. it will portray a negative image as well! unless you are a good actor then thats a totally different story! Lol
For me there are two types of choices that I have for myself depending on where I am going. I dont make it complicated its either casual or classy and then I play around these two choices. most of all When it comes to picking my outfit I always ask myself these questions:
-what mood are you today?
-how do I want to feel about myself today?
– how much runnings I gotta do ?
– and this might sound weird but its true for me ! some days I look so pale or yellow (my persian side)and somedays I look really tan and brown (my bengali side) and I learned to love both side of me but I choose my outfit accordingly with colors!

What matters the most is that what you wearing suits your Body! So get to know your body. Embrace it, and find out which parts are you favorite and you would like to highlight it more. For me Its my legs, my shoulders and my hips. So When I am deciding on clothes Those are the parts I would more focused in. Like off shoulder tops, tight jeans, pencil skirts..
Another important factor which is totally in our subconscious, Is our herritage, background, how we have been raised . Like you might have grown up in a very traditional family and you really love your costume and you might realise no matter how much you try to experiment with your style you end up wearing the same thing!! You should know that there is nothing wrong with that! Infact you should embrace it and start from your comfort zone!
For me I always end up heading back to 90s .. like thats where I always start with when I want to pick something to wear! Its my comfort zone.. im so much more comfortable to wear shorts and a crop top and I will never forget my denim jacket!

And for days that I want to be more adventurous and try new things I will start to think about those questions and see what I could find in my wardrobe!! Sometimes I even mix my styles I wear something from my casual choices and pair it with something classy. For example you can be comfortable in wearing jeans and tee but for a change you can change to skirts and a tee. Mix and match until you feel good about your choice you know just keep it interesing and playful. The more you play around the more ideas you would get! Trying something new becomes easier when you have an image of yourself and feel good about it. When I feel stressed I just go back to my comfort zone!
It shouldn’t be stressful in fact it should be fun! The energy you are putting in choosing your outfit carries with you the entire day!
When you get good at mix and matching and you get an Idea where your comfort zone is and how much you are willing to make a change the ideas expand and you will start to get more creative!
You can use these ideas next time you are going to shopping! when I am going to buy new clothes I always use the mix and match technique. I will always go for something that its around my comfort zone but I also can match it with something different.. lets say If I am buying jeans . I will try to imagine myself in that jeans in different occasions, with different tops, and I mix and match until I get an idea of a style im looking for. Thats why I always prefer online shopping coz I get to pair a lot of outfits together and imagine myself in it before purchasing them! You could do this in shopping malls too but it would get really tiring. if you have the time and energy then you do you and go for it!

Being stylish for me is when I get to choose to wear something that im comfortable in it and it suits MY body. So I would say it’s really important to know your own body and personality and choosing whats the best for you! It gets so much easier to follow any trend when you know how it would suit you cause you have the ability to change and play around with it.
Also being stylish is when you are absolutely in love with yourself and the choices you have made about your outfit! So don’t forget it all comes from within..

Hope you enjoyed reading and thanks for your time

  6. This film was huge amounts of fun. While there will in the long run be a requirement for this reasonable establishment to associate with Spider-Man to genuinely achieve its maximum capacity, this manifestation of Venom was new and fun. It had a lot of mocking chuckles and great activity successions. I’m anticipating a continuation. A couple of plot openings all over however the motion picture all in all was fun and engaging.
